Do what you love, love what you do

I wake up by the sound of the earth's surface breaking
and people's voices screaming.
I watch as the world is razed.
I feel like time is slowing down and I won't ever see the light of day again.
I feel like a burning Candle losing oxygen... suffocating,
I lay motionless in the darkness under the rubble of buildings that came tumbling down .
I lay and wonder if anyone will hear the cries I shout for help.
They do and I am alive.
Now the candle is burning higher. I am like that candle, Happy to be alive.
I fall to my knees and start to pray.
I pray to God and thank him that he kept the candle burning.

This poem came to my mind right after Haiti had that major earthquake.
