The man in the casket: the friend

June 27, 2011
I don't know who that man is,
lying inside that casket
but life throws obstacles at you
like a winner of a raffle basket

i know that mans your best friend
'til death do us part'
but choosing life isn't an option
that leukemia can be smart

i see your chin quietly tremble
tears slowly tremble
but daddy life is a gift
a receipts take a toll

thanks! he passed away and before i went to bed i thought of the first verse. He was one of the guys in my dads 'group' in college. Atleast they all have everyone to lean on :). thanks again
