(Butterflies)
And she touched it to her lips
It's faintly scaled wings beat
Against her mouth
She blew it like a string of pearls
Ruffling it's delicate feet
And it's quaintly curious expression
Brought tears of quick depression
Under her eyelids
Because it had no heart
And it was only made of kitschy blue plastic
Not blood and bone
It had no hair
It was worthless
And so was the way the breath traveled
Through means of transportation
Not through the beating of her heart strings
