Letting Go

June 26, 2011
I liked him "too much"
I didn't like him "enough"
Wrong guy, right time;
Right time, wrong guy.
All the same thing between the lines.
My feelings always get caught in the vines.

He wasn't what I'd wished he'd be.
And all the lies, they just helped me see.
He was bad news from the start,
I should have never let him into my heart.

I liked him "too much"
I didn't like him "enough"
Different guy, same case.
My heart always winds up like a broken vase.
Pieces scattered across the dirt,
and always, always, a ton of hurt.

I always jump too high, and fall too hard;
and all it ever leaves me is here- scarred.
We build up emotions to watch them crash down
Those smiles and laughs soon lead to tears and frowns.
I built up his image to seem perfect and sweet.
Because, in reality, I couldn't take the heat.

I liked him "too much"
I didn't like him "enough"
Either way, letting go is always tough.

I kinda just got over my first heartbreak, so I know what you mean by 'this place, scarred'. Very well depicted. :)

Letting go really is always hard; even if you only knew the person for a week, or a year. It's always difficult

Bad thing bout pple in general is that we don't know who they really are inside.

I saw your post on sarah-land. Im also a teenink user, duh :P lol. I was wondering if you can check out some of my work. If you got time. Thank you! By the way I know I said this already but you've got alot of potential and talent. There were a few spots here and there where I think your poems could have been a bit smoother. Keep it up!!! :DD
