The book of Hope
We look at this world and see disaster,
We see the hatred, sickness, and oppression,
There has to be an end to the hurt, the depression;
Most of us pretend, fake, or dream of this systems end,
But is that all we will do, will we only pretend?
I refuse to believe that this will last forever,
That we can’t reach for, grab at, or touch anything better;
Why do some in this world not tire out? Why do they stay strong?
How can they prove that their faith is not based on something, ANYTHING wrong?
They’re sure of the fact that there will be a day of no more pain, because of the book of Revelation,
They hold strong to that hope without any hesitation.
Because of the words in Psalms, they’re confident of the surety that wickedness will NOT last,
That this system’s known crime rate will be a thing of the past.
This tiring, depressing, and just plain disgusting system will soon near its end,
And we will no longer have to pretend.
