I wish I could fly.
I could go to the moon
Or the stars
I would be free.
And I
Could show everyone
How you don’t
Need wings
To fly.
I wish…

I wish I could be brave.
I could conquer what was
Rightfully mine.
I could surpass the ordinary
And I could look evil right in the face
And never blink.
I wish…

I wish I could be all that I can be.
I would discover more.
I would see things
As they were meant to be seen.
And I would prove to myself
And others
Who I really am.
I wish…
