bracing for the unexpected.....

June 19, 2011
By Anonymous

Clouds darken with despair.

Thunder, a clap,

A scream for help

Jews held to the fence

Holding themselves

To brace for the unexpected .

Rusty hinges where a door slams,a lock clicks,

A child cries.

Goodbyes are set to arrive.

A tickle in their burning throats.

A cough.......................

Just a scream

in their frail farewell

eyes.

This poem was for one of my major writing assigments in school. I wanted to post this because my teacher had given me a 72 on it and said it wasnt describing anything and could not understand it. I want to see what other peoples opinons are because i believe this is not a 72 paper. It is also about the holocaust because that was a topic we had to write about.
