"...I wish none of this had happened." "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

In a Golden world
there is no concentration.
In fact, such a thing does not
exist.
The globes,
all spinning, burnished
like suns
cannot think.
Time is nothing
and everything.
How do you cope in a Golden world?
Is it possible?
It is real?
Minutes creep
while the globes spin,
like dradels,
like chaotic doorknobs.
Spheres,
golden,
spinning,
suffering from schizophrenia.
Or is that me?
What is the real difference
between words
and though?
Is there?
What?
Concentration does not exist
in the Golden world.
If it did,
the world really would be golden.

A poem with questions! Fun! I wrote this during my algebra 1 class, and it's essentially about not being able to concentrate, but I like the Golden vs. golden idea. Schizophrenia reference from my health class.
