Utterly Raw

The tide comes up in the bright of day,
thoughtless prayers wander in your mind
while water and sand
touch skin and bone.
Your mouth chooses the proper words to say,
can you blame yourself
for wanting more time?
Everyone's alive, though not everyone lives/
Some souls are wasted,
living life with with a boring tone.
Other souls are fulfilled,
sparkling with elation, and able to withstand.
The tide will go out in the dark of night,
but don't cry mt dear,
that short future looks all too bright.
