Army of Tears

If I was given a chance
Just one more chance
I’d never look back
Not a second glance
I’ve never wanted to cry more
Not like this
Failure. Failure. Failure.
This is war.
A mental battleground
Never ending
When daylight comes back
It retreats never to be found
If someone could help
They would run from fear
This army’s too big
An army of tears
It’s impossible to break free
Forever a prisoner
How lucky you are not to be me
Always trapped. Forever
Keep moving forward
Is what they all say
But then the demons
Come to play
Running rampant
Cutting wrists
Burning houses
Murdering souls
The blood flows into a tear
A single tear
All in my head
A metal warfare
The killing won’t stop
The screams won’t hush
A constant holocaust
It’s always a rush
Maybe a break
Is all I need
Please can someone hear my plea?
The only proof
That this He** exists
Is the army of tears
From those metal cysts
“It’s all made up”
Is what they all say
Well for me… it happens everyday
“It’s only in your head”
I know. That’s true.
But yet here I lay dead
What about you?
Do you believe the tale?
Of the imaginary battle ground?
Because if it is real
It will never be found
