Where is Trust?

There comes a time
When friends aren’t friends,
Love isn’t love,
You aren’t you.

Hope is gone.
Trust is gone.

You mustn’t forget;
Some friends are friends.
Some love is love.
You can be yourself.

Trust surrounds you,
When true friends are found.

Lies can overwhelm some,
But not you.

You know what
Trust is,
Where to find it,
How to receive it.

Trust is not sitting
At the bottom
Of a tree,
Covered in plastic, glass, and candy.

Trust is not hiding
In the back
Of a damp, ominous cave.

Trust is found
With love.
And like love,
It will find you.

You may just have to

It will come.
