Remember
I remember being able;
To feel the warm touch
Of your hand on mine.
I remember your soothing voice;
Whispering in my ear,
Telling me that I would be just fine.
I remember seeing dazzling lights;
All focused on me
In one perfectly straight line.
I remember.
I remember.
I remember the soft faint smell;
Of my mother
Before she was gone.
I remember skin that felt like silk;
A face so perfect,
As if it was drawn.
I remember the early morning sunrise;
Where we would wake up
Well before dawn.
I remember.
I remember.
Do you remember me at all?
Ever think about me
When you need someone to hold?
Do you remember the colour of my eyes?
The smell of my hair?
And my hands were they cold?
Do you remember those last words that I spoke?
Were they meaningful?
Were they bold?
Do you remember?
Do you remember?
I wish I could remember
How I ended up here.
I wish I could remember
If I even felt fear.
I wish I could remember
If I had shed a tear.
I wish I could remember.
I wish I could remember.
