Stand And Wait

A hush falls over a sunset
And yet I can't take my eyes
Off of the green branches
The slow moving water
Why wait
The moon will pass over the sun
And I will still stand
And wait for hope to follow
Hope is a little word
That has inspired
So many people
Like a lush green tree
Can you feel life
Moving under your fingers
Standing still
Never moving, nevermore
I will always
Stand and wait
For what
I have no idea
But just stand
And hear
And watch
And wait
