I never got to say goodbye.
Every time I think about it I cry.
It has been a few years since you passed.
Your memories will always last.
I know you are up there with the best.
May in peace your soul rest.
You gave me your necklace.
That gift will remain timeless.
No matter what I do.
I will never forget you.

One summer day you went away.
How will I survive without you today?
When that time of year comes around,
I cannot help but frown.
It happens every year.
I cannot help but to shed a tear.
Losing someone as important as you was my biggest fear.
No matter what I do.
I will never forget you.

When times get really rough,
Wearing that special necklace seems to be enough.
I lay here every night thinking of you.
Tears fall from my eyes feeling so blue.
The end of your time has come to pass.
Your life was over in a flash.
From the beginning to the end,
You always were my friend.
No matter what I do.
I will never forget you.

There are so many memories that we shared.
You always showed that you cared.
You were there from the start.
You will always be a piece of my heart.
I never thought anything would ever go wrong.
You always were so strong.
No matter what I do.
I will never forget you.

I am happy you are in a better place,
Even if I do not show it on my face.
I think of all the joy you brought.
It will live forever in my heart.
When I wear this chain around my neck,
It helps me feel like less of a wreck.
Sometimes I grip on to it so tight.
It makes me feel like everything will be alright.
I’ll always remember you even if it brings me pain.
My love for you will forever remain.
No matter what I do.
I will never forget you.

In loving memory of my grandma Shirley Jorinscay,
