Maybe We're Supposed to Fail

sometimes it's hard.
sometimes we're sad.
or mad.
or glad.
or bad.
but sometimes it's hard to know what's good.
and sometimes we're in love.
and sometimes we're taken care of.
and sometimes we're afraid.
sometimes we're jealous of the sun...
and tired of our shade.
sometimes we cry without caring.
we kiss without feeling.
we leave without waiting.
we quit without stopping.
we die without living.
we love without knowing.
we move on without growing.
we're not perfect.
so why do we try to be?
