To My Sol, From My Soul
Waves of notes
Currents of harmonies
Crash over me
Like the waves
That used to sing
Sing you to sleep
I’m out of lullabies
So I come up dry
But baby, I can sing
You know, because you told me
You saw my eyes, so you can’t you see
Through strands of emerald green
The color of a dress
And dreams of dancing
I love you,
And that’s why I sing.
I can learn lullabies
No sudden answers over night
But that night was the last
I’ll ever let you be kissed by her lies
No sudden answers overnight
But my heart seems to scream
You were always mine.
