Inside The Box

By , Powell, OH
I sigh,
As I sit in this box
Along 5th Street.

In my own personal
Living hell that I condemned
myself to.

Why do they live so well?
I ask myself

They didn't go to prison though,
did they?
She deserved it.
I shouldn't have
killed her though

By ending her life,
I ruined mine
and now 31 years
later,
I suffer because of her selfish mistakes

It's been a year out of jail and
life has been
horrid for me,
like an eternal eclipse.

As I sit in this box,
Which seemed to
swallow me
along 5th street
cold and alone.
