Ignite the Senses
Your skin ignites my senses
like the cool earth beneath my bare feet
I can sink my fingers
into every blossom of your soul
of which I can expel your every scent
like I can crush a lily's petals
revealing their bloodied honey
I follow you into the abyss
of what life gives
the pressure unendurable
for any flesh bearing being
we are stripped to our star-struck bodies
of eternal night
blending to create not a galaxy
but all of space
You carve your way into every nerve
of my body with an onyx sickle
until every ocean crashes out in salty waves
drowning my ability
to think a single - lucid - thought
You will leave me
brimming with more life
than that blue green marble
below will ever sustain
but more lonely
than the moon hanging above
