Eye of the Storm
They have pushed me down.
They have made me cry.
They have broken my heart.
They have caused pain.
I am standing in the eye of the storm,
Wondering where it ends.
But I can’t see it.
Where is it?
Now, it is too much.
Where is the light?
Where is my hope?
Where is my rescue?
I look up at the treacherous sky.
There is only a sliver of blue left.
Barely visible among the darkness.
That is all I need.
The storm can’t take me.
I won’t let it.
I have an iron will.
It pushes, so I shove.
I am getting mad.
I am getting strong.
Now, I stand.
