Ex Tenebris
My soul yearn for truth
as my eyes yearned for light
having lived long in the darkness.
But when light shall be given,
my eyes will reject, closing tightly
and my head will turn away;
I will only wish to return
to my gloomy abode, and pretend
that I had never beheld
the awful and painful radiance.
I would rather believe, than know.
