For you
I’ll be a deaf little girl.
The one who cant hear,
Who feels insecure.

For you
I’ll be a student at school.
who gets an education,
They wind you up like a spool.

For you
I’ll be a piano player.
Hitting the keys
like an effortless sawyer.

For you
I’ll be a calming singer.
who lets out her notes,
piercing as a bees stinger.

For you
I’ll be a an artistic dreamer.
who draws out her feelings
and sketches the blur.

For you
I’ll be a lost little lover.
whose heart can’t be mended
until she’s caught under.

For you
I’ll be a poor prisoner.
locked behind bars,
Behind bars of the true world.

The author's comments:
This poem was inspired by Leonard Cohen's poem, "The Genius". I had written a research paper on him, and afterwords, I decided to write a few poems based on his set of poems.
