‘Twas a cold winters night
The streets all dressed in white.
There was a small house
With a palm tree all covered in snow.

Inside was a boy
Waiting by the tree
For the gift
He wanted the most

The gift he wanted was
Furry, but not a coat.
Soft, but not a blanket.
Great to play with, but not a toy.

No, the gift he wanted the most was
A playmate, someone to comfort him
A little ball of fur to call his own
A kitten, named Beauty.
