Losing You
The sweet breeze shuffles your hair
Your smile shines bright,
I can’t tell if it’s just you
Or the sun.
Your perfect eyes
Reflect the sky
Mirror images of
The atmosphere
I need to survive.
This picture of you
I’ll keep in my mind
But as time has passed
The edges have curled
And the color slowly fades.
The things you said
Have already escaped.
I’m losing you,
But the way I felt
I’ll never forget.
Yet as I close my eyes
And gaze upon your face,
I realize it’s faded too.
