Please don't take the words
I want to say the wrong way.
It would hurt me to
if I saw your heart break,
because if you like me as much
as I wished I liked you,
a boat would be your only rescue
from drowning in the tears
you'd shed for me.
But now we're gone;
apart from ourselves for the day
and if there's one thing
that I'd ask,
it's that you don't dream of me
when you drift away.
Apart from the stars
let's join in another
dreamless sleep tonight.
