Danger in Trust
I awake to darkness,
the smell of death still fresh in the air.
My body is paralyzed, glued to the cold ground.
There's a taste of warm blood on my tongue, slimy yet salty.
Blood curdling screams in the distance make my stomach turn. ?The fallen ashes cover the ground like toxic snow.
The strongest fighters are brought to their knees, by one monstrosity.
Innocent lives are slowly being take by the man we called our hero.
My reality is slowly setting in.
There were never any heroes in this world, just those who knew that when the time would come they could simply rise to the occasion to take everything for themselves.
Simple, satisfying, selfishness.
In the dead of night, who will be there to fight off these demons?
When the angels flee, and God is defenseless who will free us from this hell?
In an everlasting nightmare, there's no light at the end of the tunnel.
This is a dream we cannot control.
