Favorite Quote:
Seeing isn't believing. Believing is seeing.

The emptiness,

It swallows me.

Like a giant chasm,

Growing in the middle

Of my aching heart.

It’s ever widening,

Consuming my broken soul,

Sucking away the life of me,
Leaving just the cracked shell of my person.

The loneliness,

It haunts me.

Like a voracious beast,

Never fully satisfied,

Always wanting more.

It devours my being,

Licking up every last crumb,

Never leaving a smidge,
Eradicating my inhabitance of this space.

The pain,

It curses me.

Like endless torture,

Never ceasing for a moment,

Only growing in intensity.

It frightens away peace,

Keeps comfort at bay,

Tells me lies to feed my anguish,
Relishing in the sound of my hopes as they drown.

I really enjoyed this poem. Simple, but 100% got the point across. I could feel your pain. Well done!
