An Aversge Day

The clock’s ticks and tocks,
Can sound like a thunderous boom.
Knowing that someone’s life is on the line,
They only have a certain amount of time,
Until it all fades dark,
For the unfortunate victim in this dire situation.
The wheels screech loudly,
As the vehicle peels out of the parking lot,
Knowing they have to help,
They do this every day.
For this is their job,
This is what they signed up for,
They know what to expect.
This is an average day for the paramedics.
