Leaves fall from a nearby tree,
and I focus in on the erratic,
yet sure, path
of a single
one
as it
dances
to
the ground.
This is the divinity
that shapes the end.
The leaf will tumble
down;
it will land.
And I will feel it
crunch
beneath my feet.
