Windless Spring, Where Are You?
The colors got brighter.
It is a lot more vibrant.
The scent got pleasant.
Under the radiating, bright rays,
a strong, lazy feeling vibrated through my body,
as my dog dragged me to the park.
His excitement clashed with my laziness.
Left, right, left, right we treaded,
Through the disgusting mush he trekked,
On the swings I sat,
absorbed the bizarre showing of the sun's rays.
The refreshing air snuck its way in my nose;
goosebumps crept up my arms at the unfamiliar scent.
The wind that blew in my direction
sent my hair flying in the opposite direction.
In the back of my head, I wondered:
when will we ever stop waiting?
Waiting for a decent, windless sunny day in Washington…
My friends say I'm crazy;
but I know it'll be here soon.
Washington will meet a sunny, windless spring.
