the Illustrator
i know how i want it,
how i want my life to be,
but i also know He’s planned it,
He’s planned it all for me.

though i know it is up to Him,
 i battle and i strife,
 how He’s woven my story
with the threads of my life.
i dont agree with His chosen paths
 at times, but i know
He loves me with His great, big heart
and it’s His love He’s trying to show.
 He’s powerful, almighty,
and i guess i can see
 that He always knows
 what is better for me,
so i go along and pray
that He may hear my cry
along with those who surround me
masking my prayer, quiet and shy

at the end of the day
 i let Him know
 what i’ll let Him do
 so His will can flow
 and i always say,
He’s the author, writing the story
 and i am the illustrator,
painting the story He wrote for me.
