I Seem To Be….
I seem to be a sun
In the middle of a blue sky
Shining down on people
Surrounded by white fluffy clouds
But really I am a hole
Dark and lonely and cold
Dug empty of happy feelings
and instead filled with hurt and confusion
I seem to be a cheerful being
With bright smiles and warm hugs
Filling others with happiness and good words
Going around and being silly and laughing with friends
But really I am a dark human
With thoughts of knives and glass
Of bleeding flesh and dark corners
(but only when im in that mood)
I seem to be a rainbow
Full of colors and bright light
Coming out after a storm or rainshower
Covering people with hope and faith
But really I am a blade of grass
Being rained on and stepped upon
Used for purposes and cut down to nothing
Torn out of the ground and floating in the breeze
Waiting for a place to land and hoping not to freeze
