"to live, and not to breathe, is to die in tragedy."

I want you to promise me
Promise me
That you won’t fall prey to this country’s misogyny
That in this economy you will not only survive,
But rise successfully
That you won’t listen to the words they say because
Don’t take the time to see beneath the screen

Promise me that you will be all that you came to be, what you honestly believe society needs you to be

Promise---
You’ll preserve a healthy innocence
But won’t fall into the depths of ignorance
That you will be a productive citizen
That you’ll never make yourself the victim

Since that’s not the girl that from infancy had a prophecy
Reflecting a reality that could possibly be more than just a fantasy

Promise me
You’l be the image of reliability
That you’ll embrace your strength along with your vulnerability
That you will recognize your ability to rise far above anything they ever expected

PROMISE ME

You will never be mis-directed that you will acknowledge that at times, you will be rejected and neglected but that if a smile is reflected on that mirror you compulsively doodle on, the world is yours,
From here to Milan
Anything the light shines upon
And beyond!
All at your fingertips, should you choose to take your talent and cherish it

Promise me that you will surpress the urge to be lazy and do what is easy, that you will not be fooled by the rules which society tries to push onto you

PROMISE ME that you will never allow a man to do the things that you know will bring harm onto you

Be honest with me, seize the day when give the opportunity
Don’t allow your name to become outdated, take a stand when you feel underappreciated
Don’t let your words become abbreviated

Always make time to speak your mind and remind yourself that yes, you are the perfect find, and any ignorant boy that can’t see that is clearly nothing but blind

Recognize your capability
Be more than what you ame to be
Take a stand, fulfill that prophecy.

Promise me Natalie, promise me.

I think it was really good, it definitely gave me a sense of what I want to accomplish and what I don't. Thank you for that reminder!

Sounds More Like A Letter than A Note. Notes would be smaller, but over all very good.
