The Soldier
The soldier stands tall and salutes his Sargent
As his wife stands crying tears of joy.
He turns around and a tear runs down his own face
For he sees his daughter for the first time.
Three years old and has never known her father,
He did it for them, so they'll always be free.
He lost his arm while protecting you,
He risked his life and made it out alive.
All the bad things, yet he returns with a smile,
He defended our Country, has a family and is honored.
This is how he always will be.
