Ivory Castle
Brick by brick I built my ivory castle.
It towers past the heavens, over looking the world.
Jagged poisonous spears embellish my haven.
Threatening any who dare to touch my treasure.
Locked the world out along time ago, ate the key.
All to protect my one and only treasure, my heart.
Unable to give it to anyone, someone burrowed it,
And gave it back in a trillion shattered pieces.
I went searching but never found all the parts.
Did they know I would not be able to love again?
