God's Lesson

Watching constant deaths that
seem to be perpetual,
no sky just mammatus clouds
suffocating us all.
Redskin, the devil, himself
laying across his teacher’s desk
tapping his claws upon the
damaged wood ever so loudly.
Piles of nickels and dimes
burning clarifying he’s not
reaping any benefits.
Looking Redskin in the eye
and smiling showing his
tangerine colored teeth,
he said, “Salu! What did you expect?”
