Like a hungry beast we open our mouths
Devour the lives of those less then us
Our claws tearing into the flesh of the innocent
We breed nothing but demon-spawn
In search of what we cannot find

What is it that we seek?
Salvation, Eternity, love and kindness
Who can give us such things when we ourselves cannot provide?

He who is perfect
He who came down to us
We need not reach up to him.
He stands knocking at our door
All we must do is answer

The journey may be hard
The road may be long
But he will stand by us till the end of time

Lifting us up when we fall
Holding us close when we are distraught
Supporting us when we cannot even stand
