The Scar
Your smell still lingers on the note.
Tears of remembrance fall as I go back.
What’s done is done; Can’t take back the words.
I am stuck in the falling pain of uncertainty.
Where to go? Where to go? What to say? What to do?
I care, but I can’t show it.
Undeserving, I lay in my regret. Wishing. Wanting.
What’s done is done; Can’t take back the words.
The scars of yesterday bleed today and tomorrow.
Why do I do I do these things?
Why do I do I say these things?
She is scared because of my desires.
Can they be fixed?
Can I mend the wounds my sharp words have made?
All faults are mine.
Empty words and promises have led her heart astray.
I long to have back those times with her.
She could have been happy without my sharp promises.
What’s done is done; Can’t take back the words.
