A Summer Night in a Field
The shining dim light of the moon falls upon her face.
Her eyes glisten as bright blue waters.
I am stuck in the burning desire to swim in her eyes.
Her hair blond and flowing almost like a shining river of light and gold.
She smiles; I breathe in deep.
The smell of the freshly cut hay fills my lungs.
Her hand clasped tightly with mine.
Now the days are fast in pace.
She now waits for me to awaken once again.
The sound of her words, my promises reverberate in my head.
The fire is still there; it’s far from out.
I entreat with what’s right.
My burning resolution is to swim in her eyes again.
It’s not done, it’s not over.
She is there, waiting, for the dreaming to stop and the life begin.
She is there.
