Conspiracy took hold of your white soul
Won’t you just look me in the eye and just not lie
You swore to me this would never happen
Now the change you promised will never be real

Blood has left your red lips to show life
Just a corpse lying there with a blank state of mind
Now it’s my fault you lost your precious life
Including your conscience of wrong and right

As the days got shorter we drew apart
For some reason I guess I didn’t try
I was too busy pleasing the righteous
Legalistic animals with their rules

Now you look as if you’re dreaming even though

You should be wide awake with breathing
