Demons
You sit there watching me,
 Silently calling out my name.
I see you but I choose to ignore,
 Choose to turn my back.
Your eyes bur holes in my skin,
 Egging me on,
Tempting me to touch your surface.
To embrace the feel of metal
And for you to embrace my skin.
 You know my weakness,
 You know what I crave.
You were the only constant in my life
 When the world would change.
The only thing that understood my pain
Yet at the same time caused more.
The touch of a blade, the prick of a thorn,
 The edge of a knife.
 A single touch excites me,
 Inviting me for more,
And yet this is not the life I want.
I don't want to answer to your call.
It will take a while to forget the things I did
And until then you will haunt my mind
For you are a demon of my former self.
A self I no longer want.
