If only you knew
The girl behind the mask
Beautiful brilliant colors
Desperate to see light of day
Dreaming of bursting out
Into a glorious fury of
Pinks, blues, and greens
Oranges, purples, and yellows
Held back and tightly bound
By the mask of browns, blacks, and greys.
If only you knew
Her true colors.
