Skating

I never was good at kicking a ball.
Every time I tried, I would fall.
I never liked the smell of a baseball glove,
But figure skating is the sport I love.

Cuts, bruises, failures, falls.
I would still choose it over baseball.
Moves in the field, dances, freestyle
All elements of skating make me smile.

The best part of skating would be my friends.
When we are all on ice, the fun never ends.
We help each other accomplish our moves
The more we work together, the more we improve.

Figure skating is the sport I love most.
And truly I don’t mean to boast:
My rink is the place to skate.
Cottonwood Heights is the best in the state!
