Imitation Love
Love hides, those who seek it, find it. She found it in the summer, a “summer love,” as they say. It was beautiful, yet fragile because they knew it wouldn’t last. It started out slow and eventually it blossomed like flowers. One innocent day of flirting turned into a few meaningful months. They made every moment count.
She fell deep into the dangerous “sea of love.” For now, having each other was enough. Eventually the leaves on the trees began to change colors, softly fall to the ground, and wither. The feeling of a new adventure was gone and replaced with old routine. When the branches of the trees became bare, they acknowledged the “summer love,” as what it truly was, mere lust.
