We were creeping quietly down the log, good thing this morning there hadn't been fog. As we look down the river and peer, we jump and shout, expressing our cheer.
As we approached the moose, we walk in silence. Some people would think this is animal violence. As we shoot, we get the kill. Selling the meat, we can now pay our bills.

The author's comments:
My English class and I were studying visual art, and what poetry meant to them. I selected a rural themed picture with two men walking across a log and a moose in the background. The settings details along with the expressing colors helped me write a poem on the selected art piece.
