Life's ups and downs

My life is full of peaks and valleys
I go up and down through times of happiness and sadness
Like the Rocky Mountains and Death Valley
When I go up a distance I get cold
And migrate down
When I go down too low I get hot
And I am forced back up
It is a never-ending cycle
Through bitter temperatures
Blistering heat
Terrible blight
And the breaking of the blackest night
I come through
And I realize that life can be beautiful
And I can enjoy life
And know that there will be bad times
But they never last
So I stay true to my goals
And persevere it through
