I should have never...
Is it wrong to still love you?
After all that I have done?
For me to still want to hold you,
and for all my fears to be gone.
I wish for all the happiness,
the fondness we expressed.
I wish to see my loneliness
disappear from within my breast.
But I know it cannot be so,
for too much stands in the way.
We are only young lovers,
but it's not like back in the day.
Like you I don't want to lose touch,
but to touch you is something already lost.
Why can't I turn back time,
to prevent us from paying the cost?
