An empty box.
It just lies there.
Most don't see it,
just ignore it's exsistence.
It's just an old, used, cardboard box.
Once maybe it held a litter of puppies for sale,
or kittens!
But now, it's hollow.
Kicked at by children,
ridiculed by crates and plastic bags.
It's just a box.
It offers help in the beginning,
but in the end it's just left in the trash,
or in the street.
Like me.
