I turned on the TV. last night
And couldn’t stand what I saw
Fear, darkness, and no sign of light
I turned it off and made a list of every flaw
The hate, the war, the violence
The lives we lost in turn
Lets all take a moment of silence
And let the prejudice just burn
Then let the ashes fly
Watch them rise rise rise
Up high into the sky
Say goodbye to all the pain
And lies you’d like to forget
Welcome happiness and a new start
So bring tolerance into everyday
And don’t ever let it part
