Stuck,
But they don't know it.
Afraid,
But they won't admit it.
Unhappy,
But they won't face it.
They are stuck in complacency.
They are afraid to change.
They are unhappy with their lot.
I will not become them.
I will not agree,
To grow up,
On their terms,
Of being an adult.

The author's comments:
I watch adults who are so AFRAID of change. I LONG for change! Yes, it can be awful sometimes but change is the most tangible proof that we are moving forward instead of staying put or losing ground. I don't just want to change myself and the world, I want to inspire other to change as well.
