His eyes.
His smile;
All sing straight to my soul.
His familiar amble
Keeping time with the pounding of my heart.
Yet—
The songs sadden.
Lyrical lies flow from his lips,
His eyes glimmer.
A new melody forms.
But his face.
His eyes.
His smile.
Dark, mischievous, and shining.
Still sing to my soul.
His songs envelop me as I’m lost,
Drowned by his music.
